Wells Fargo notes shares of St. Jude Medical are up 3% after the posting of the CardioMEMS abstract this morning on the American College of Cardiology Foundation website. While the title was posted a few months ago, the abstract hit today, Wells says. The firm's initial reading of the abstract suggests there was a significant reduction in heart failure hospitalizations and a reduction in mortality with CardioMEMS in patients with reduced ejection fraction at baseline. Wells thinks the data should help the marketing of CardioMEMS. It has an Outperform rating on St. Jude.
