Jefferies thinks the stronger U.S. dollar is unlikely to cause VeriFone to lower its FY15 guidance when reporting Q1 results next week given the conservatism in the initial outlook. Even if the company cuts the outlook, Jefferies notes many other payments players have been getting a pass for estimate cuts related to currency. The firm says it still believes in Verifone's normalized earnings power story and keeps a Buy rating on the name with a $43 price target.
