Wells Fargo believes that the American College of Cardiology conference, which begins March 14, will provide the key players in the TAVR market, Edwards Lifesciences (EW) and Medtronic (MDT), with positive catalysts. The firm is confident that Edwards' Sapien 3 trial will yield "very positive" results. The firm says that the results from a trial comparing TAVR to SAVR will also be announced at the conference. The firm expects the results to show that TAVR is at least comparable to SAVR, and it expects such results to be a "win" for TAVR because it is less invasive than SAVR, according to the firm.
