The U.S. and EU will negotiate settlements with China over allegations that the country's solar energy sector carried out illegal trading practices, according to The New York times. Under a deal that's starting to emerge, Chinese solar companies would have to raise the prices of their solar panels, but the companies would no longer have to pay high tariffs, the newspaper explained. LDK Solar Co announced that it has signed a wafer supply contract with Realforce Power Co., Ltd, a photovoltaic company located in Shandong Province, China. Under the terms of the agreement, LDK Solar will provide 120M 6-inch wafers, totaling approximately 500 megawatts, with shipments commencing in May 2013 through December 2014.
