Alibaba disclosed earlier in a filing related to its upcoming IPO that the gross merchandise volume generated on its China retail marketplaces increased by 55.8% from RMB1.077T in FY13 to RMB1.678T, or $270B, in FY14. Total revenue increased by 52.1% to $8.446B in FY14. Net income increased by 170.6% to $3.764B in FY14. Yahoo (YHOO) and Softbank (SFTBF) continue to be significant shareholders in Alibaba.
