ITT Exelis has received a $25M order to provide a wide range of communications equipment to an international customer. This Foreign Military Sales program contract was awarded by the U.S. Communications-Electronics Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. The award includes the delivery of Exelis International Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System VHF Base Stations and Vehicular Systems in single and dual radio configurations. |

Aireon announced that it has signed a 17-year, $42M agreement with ITT Exelis (XLS) to provide the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast, or ADS-B, data processing and distribution component of the Aireon system. This contract further extends the ongoing relationship with Exelis, who also provides systems engineering services for Aireon. Aireon, a joint venture between Iridium Communications Inc. (IRDM) and NAV CANADA, will take advantage of the hosted payload space on Iridium NEXT, Iridium's second-generation satellite constellation. |

The Defense Information Systems Agency has awarded ITT Exelis a contract to develop a global netted communications capability for the agency’s Distributed Tactical Communications System. Exelis will provide the Department of Defense and other high-priority/special users with a satellite-based, global "push-to-talk” netted-communications service for voice and data. Work for the contract, which was awarded on May 3, will be performed at the Exelis facility in Dulles, Virginia, and is expected to be demonstrated in 2014. |
