DirecTV (DTV) will no longer be carrying WWE (WWE) pay-per-views, reported Pro Wrestling Torch last night, which quoted a WWE spokesperson as having said, "Yes, DIRECTV has decided to stop offering our PPV's residentially and commercially." Another publication, TVPredictions.com, said DISH Network (DISH) has also been speculated to stop airing WWE PPV events. Reference Link

The range of projected first quarter results reflects a year-over-year decline primarily due to the timing of WrestleMania and related event ticket sales - as last year's event grossed approximately $15M - and an increase in accrued management incentive compensation. For the first quarter 2016, the company projects average paid subscribers of 1,280,000, give or take 2%, representing an approximate year-over-year increase of 38%. Although the company is not providing an estimate of first quarter ending subscribers with this release, the company plans to communicate an update on network subscriber levels on April 4, 2016 the day after WrestleMania.

HBO Now, Time Warner's (TWX) streaming service, is falling short of analyst expectations after getting off to a slow start, The New York Post reports. According to two pay-TV insiders, HBO Now had 800,000-1M paying subscribers at the end of 2015, below the 1M-2M subscribers Wall Street forecast. Netflix (NFLX) said last month that it had over 75M subscribers, while Sling TV, part of Dish Network (DISH), reported nearly 400,000 subscribers as of November. Reference Link

DISH Network (DISH) announced the availability of its award-winning Hopper 3 to customers nationwide. The third-generation of DISH's whole-home DVR system, Hopper 3 features 16 tuners, delivers an enhanced 4K experience and supports up to seven TVs simultaneously. In the coming weeks, Hopper 3 will launch the Netflix (NFLX) app and integrate Netflix titles into its universal search results.

2K (TTWO) and WWE (WWE) announced that the companies have extended their partnership with a new multi-year exclusive agreement granting 2K the worldwide rights to develop and publish WWE video game properties across all major platforms and distribution channels. WW 2K, the simulation-based flagship series developed by 2K's Visual Concepts studio and Yuke's, will continue an 18-year tradition established by past WWE titles, including the recently released WWE 2K16. In addition, 2K will continue to invest in WWE SuperCard, the breakout hit card-battling game developed by its Cat Daddy Games studio, which has been downloaded more than nine million times since its initial release. Financial terms of the new agreement were not disclosed.
