09:39 EDTWSTAmgen likely plans to use West's SmartDose, says CL King
CL King says a recent investor presentation from Amgen (AMGN) reviewing evolocumab showed a drug administration device that looks identical to West Pharmaceutical's (WST) SmartDose. As such, the firm has a "very high level of confidence" that Amgen will be using West's SmartDose as one of the administration systems for its PCSK9 inhibitor evolocumab. CL King views the development as a "significant positive" for West and reiterates a Strong Buy rating on the stock with a $58 price target. Shares of West Pharmaceutical are up 3% to $45.56 in early trading.
