News Breaks | | | | December 19, 2012 | | 17:17 EDT |  | WPZ | Williams Partners seeks FERC approval to expand natural gas service Williams Partners L.P. announced that its Transco pipeline has filed an application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to provide 270,000 dekatherms per day of incremental, year-round firm natural gas transportation capacity to serve markets in Virginia and North Carolina. The Virginia Southside Expansion is targeted to be placed into service by September 2015. It is designed to provide 20,000 dekatherms per day of natural gas transportation capacity to Piedmont Natural Gas Company and 250,000 dekatherms per day of natural gas transportation capacity to Dominion Virginia Power. The capital cost of the project is estimated to be $298M. | |

As a result of the expected lower distributable cash flow for 2013 and 2014, Williams Partners is updating guidance for cash distributions per limited partner unit to reflect an annual growth rate of 8%-9% for 2013 and 6%-8% for 2014.
