After conducting checks, the firm said in a note to investors this morning that it believes VCA Antech’s same-store sales growth probably slowed in the second quarter. Moreover, William Blair thinks that VCA Antech’s second quarter results could be generally "lackluster," due partly to weaker U.S. consumer trends. The firm doesn't expect the stock to rise significantly until demand for the company's veterinary surgical equipment and medical technology rebounds. In mid-morning trading, VCA Antech fell $1.15, or 4.95%, to $22.00. | |
