A Walter Energy (WLT) employee died at one of the company's mines last night and a second employee was hospitalized following the incident, a company spokesman told theflyonthewall.com. However, the mine did not collapse and there was no explosion at the site, the spokesman added. Several rescue personnel who came to the site were hospitalized after experiencing signs of heat stress. The company expects to issue a press release with further details shortly.
