| theflyonthewall.com: | Weatherford declines after PEMEX says it may not renew contract | | Mexico's state-owned petroleum company Petroleos Mexicanos, known as PEMEX, said it may not renew its contract with Weatherford (WFT), Bloomberg reported. In an emailed response to questions regarding the company's two $870M drilling contracts, PEMEX said it has met its drilling requirements for the year. PEMEX's contracts with Weatherford are scheduled to expire in April, Bloomberg said. Shares of Weatherford declined on the news, dropping nearly 2% to $17.48 in late morning trading. :theflyonthewall.com |
