In a positive sign for Visa, MasterCard (MA) reported higher than expected Q4 adjusted EPS earlier this month, although the company's revenue did come in lower than expected. But, MasterCard said it wasn't seeing a great deal of economic hardship in Europe. Meanwhile, in a note to investors today, Wells Fargo predicted that Visa would report slightly higher than expected Q1 EPS and slightly lower than expected Q1 revenue. The firm expects Visa to be relatively upbeat about its business outlook, and it maintains an Outperform rating on the stock.
