Verizon (VZ) sees gross debt $110B by end of quarter. Says confident in competitive position. Sees upside in getting customers to 4G devices, says tablets present "great" opportunity for growth. The company says it has 3.6M tablet customers. Sees expanding opportunities as mobile networks become platform for most of world's digital traffic. Sees opportunities in mobile video market, will continue to pursue connected device market. Says continue to invest in networks and purchase spectrum. Expects cash taxes to increase. Sees opportunities to streamline wireline in FY14. Says product portfolio should evolve "pretty quickly." The company said it is "absolutely" in the market for spectrum, will need to acquire spectrum for the next 5-10 years. The company says it doesn't see share repurchases for at least the next 2-3 years. Says debt reduction will be a priority. Says service revenue is "key to this business." Sees marketing spend remaining constant. The company says one third of customers are on basic devices and one third of devices are on 3G. The company says it is "pleased" to see that Netflix (NFLX) and Comcast (CMCSA) have an arrangement. Sees involvement in net neutrality rulemaking. S&P Dow Jones Indices will make the following changes to the S&P 500, S&P MidCap 400 and S&P SmallCap 600 indices: Columbia Pipeline Group (CPGX) will replace Allegheny Technologies (ATI) in the S&P 500, Allegheny Technologies will replace Unit Corp. (UNT) in the S&P MidCap 400, and Unit Corp. will replace PetroQuest Energy (PQ) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Wednesday, July 1. S&P 500 constituent NiSource (NI) is spinning off Columbia Pipeline Group in a transaction expected to be completed on that date. NiSource will remain in the S&P 500 following the distribution. Allegheny Technologies, Unit and PetroQuest are all ranked near or at the bottom of their current indices. S&P SmallCap 600 constituent Casey’s General Stores (CASY) will replace AOL (AOL) in the S&P MidCap 400, and Nektar Therapeutics (NKTR) will replace Casey’s General Stores in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Thursday, June 25. S&P 100 & 500 constituent Verizon (VZ) acquired AOL in a transaction completed today. TopBuild (BLD) will replace Aéropostale (ARO) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Tuesday, June 30. S&P 500 constituent Masco (MAS) is spinning off TopBuild in a transaction expected to be completed on that date. Masco will remain in the S&P 500 following the distribution. Aéropostale is ranked near the bottom of the S&P SmallCap 600. “New” Gannett Co. (GCI) will replace Quiksilver (ZQK) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Friday, June 26. Fran Shammo, CFO, Verizon (VZ), announced that Scott Krohn will join Verizon on July 6 as Treasurer, succeeding Matt Ellis, who was previously appointed to lead Finance in Verizon's Operations organization. Before joining Verizon, Krohn VP - Tax and Treasurer at 3M Company (MMM), where for the last three years his areas of focus included capital structure strategy and execution, pension asset management, financial risk management, and more recently tax planning and governance. Prior to this, Krohn worked for almost 15 years at Ford Motor Company, where he held a number of finance leadership positions in the U.S. and overseas, with his most recent roles there focusing on financial strategy and debt capital markets.

BTIG raised Buy rated Netflix's price target to $950 from $600 citing business model momentum. The firm's analyst believes Netflix can grow substantially beyond 50M domestic subs. In addition, as the MVPD bundle unravels, BTIG expects consumers will have money to spend on Netflix and other SVOD services. As the price/value of Netflix grows, the firm believes there is substantial upside potential to its ARPU estimates. BTIG expects Worldwide streaming subs to expand to over 108M by 2017, up from 101M, compared to 57M at year-end 2014. Furthermore, BTIG believes Netflix could reach 140M global subscribers by 2020.
