Vodafone (VOD) CEO Vittorio Colao said the company is unlikely to want telecom assets being put up for sale in Mexico by Carlos Slim's America Movil (AMX, AMOV) since an agreement would not correlate with its focus on the corporate market in Latin America, according to Reuters citing comments from Calao. Colao said, "I have to put my money into India, into Europe and into Africa. That is where the money is going." Reference Link

America Movil (AMX, AMOV) said it aims to own just over half of Telekom Austria (TKAGY) in a $1B buyout bid, giving chairman Carlos Slim a foundation to boost his presence in European telecoms, according to Reuters, citing comments from Slim. Synchronoss (SNCR) announced its acquisition of Voxmobili, a wholly owned subsidiary of OnMobile Global. Voxmobili’s customers include AT&T (T), Airtel, Everything Everywhere, France Telecom, Orange (ORAN), T-Mobile (TMUS), and Vodafone (VOD). In consideration for the acquisition, Synchronoss paid approximately $26M in cash to OnMobile Global.
