Vodafone (VOD) CEO Vittorio Colao said the company is unlikely to want telecom assets being put up for sale in Mexico by Carlos Slim's America Movil (AMX, AMOV) since an agreement would not correlate with its focus on the corporate market in Latin America, according to Reuters citing comments from Calao. Colao said, "I have to put my money into India, into Europe and into Africa. That is where the money is going." Reference Link

AT&T's (T) Chief Strategy Officer, John Stankey, speaking at an investor conference, said that Mexico, a fast growing market, is of interest to AT&T and the company has the balance sheet to do a deal if an opportunity arises, says the Wall Street Journal.
