10:42 EDTNOK, VIPVimpelCom selects Nokia for 4G LTE rollout in some Russian regions
Nokia (NOK) announced that VimpelCom (VIP) has chosen Nokia Solutions and Networks as vendor for its Long Term Evolution radio access networks in the central region of Russia, Siberia, South and most of the Volga and Ural regions. Under the five-year agreement, NSN will deliver, install and integrate LTE radio access equipment. The company will also provide rollout services for the implementation and commissioning of 4G mobile broadband services.

VimpelCom and its subsidiary Global Telecom Holding announce the closing of the sale by GTH of a 51% interest in Omnium Telecom Algeria SpA to the Algerian National Investment Fund, or the "FNI", for $2.6B. GTH and the FNI have entered into a shareholders agreement, which governs their relationship as shareholders in OTA going forward. GTH will continue to exercise operational control over OTA and, as a result, both GTH and VimpelCom will continue to fully consolidate OTA. VimpelCom CEO Jo Lunder commented: "Today, we have entered into a long-term relationship with the Algerian National Fund, creating a private-public ownership structure for Djezzy. With this new ownership structure, Djezzy is positioned better than ever to lead the way in Algeria, offering customers high quality mobile services and the best digital experience. The deal, on a group level, also releases significant cash amounts to GTH and VimpelCom to pay down gross debt."

Nokia (NOK) continues to expect Nokia Networks' non-IFRS operating margin for theFY15 to be in-line with Nokia Networks' long-term non-IFRS operating margin range of 8%-11%. Nokia expects Nokia Networks' net sales and non-IFRS operating margin in Q1 to decline seasonally compared to the Q4. Nokia continues to expect HERE's net sales to grow on a year-on-year basis for FY15. Nokia now expects HERE's non-IFRS operating margin for FY15 to be between 7%-12%, based on HERE's leading market position, positive industry trends and improved focus on cost efficiency. This compares to Nokia's previous outlook for HERE's non-IFRS operating margin for the FY15 to be between 5%-10%. Nokia continues to expect Nokia Technologies' net sales to grow on a year-on-year basis for FY15, excluding potential amounts related to the expected resolution the ongoing arbitration with Samsung (SSNLF), which is expected to be concluded during 2015.
