VirnetX announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued an Action Closing Prosecution for VirnetX's U.S. Patent No. 7,188,180, in the inter-partes reexamination filed by Cisco Systems, Inc. on October 25, 2011, confirming all its claims as valid and patentable. In particular, the USPTO rejected all of Cisco's proposed validity challenges to the '180 patent, and withdrew all of its grounds for rejection. All the reexamined claims were confirmed, including claims 1, 4, 6-17, 20, 22-33, 35, and 37-41. |
