Vascular Solutions announced that it has launched the R-Band radial hemostasis compression device in the United States. Vascular Solutions is the exclusive distributor of the R-Band device in the U.S. under an agreement entered into with Lepu Medical Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., the developer and manufacturer of the device. Vascular Solutions will introduce the R-Band to the clinical community at the 21st Annual Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics, or TCT, Conference this week at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida. The TCT's exhibition hall is open between Oct. 23-25, and the R-Band will be one of the products featured by Vascular Solutions. | |

Vascular Solutions (VASC) announced that it has filed a patent infringement complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota against Boston Scientific Corporation (BSX). The complaint alleges that Boston Scientific has infringed three patents owned by Vascular Solutions concerning rapid exchange guide extension technology by manufacturing and selling its Guidezilla guide extension catheter which received 510(k) clearance in March. Vascular Solutions is seeking an injunction against Boston Scientific prohibiting the manufacture and sale of its Guidezilla catheter as well as damages for lost profits and legal costs. | |
