Pratt & Whitney President David Hess said, "Being a business partner and supplier to Comac (The Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China) is going to be fundamental to doing business here in China and the world in the future." Pratt & Whitney, a United Technologies (UTX) subsidiary, is also is approaching leading Chinese airlines in a bid to gain more traction in the country.
