12:58 EDTUTX, ERJUnited Technologies power unit selected for Embraer's second gen E-Jet
Pratt & Whitney, a United Technologies Corp. (UTX) company announced that its AeroPower APS2600[E] auxiliary power unit has been selected by Embraer (ERJ) for its second generation E-Jet. The second generation Embraer E-Jets will also be equipped with Pratt & Whitney's PurePower PW1700G and PW1900G engines, the company said.

SaudiGulf Airlines has selected the International Aero Engines, or IAE, V2500 engine to power four A320ceo aircraft and has also signed an eight-year V- Services maintenance service agreement with IAE. SaudiGulf is a new airline based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with headquarters in Dammam and is planning to commence services in 2015. IAE is a multinational aero engine consortium whose shareholders are comprised of Pratt & Whitney - a subsidiary of United Technologies- Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines International, Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines.

UTC Aerospace Systems has been selected by Cathay Pacific Airways to supply the wheels and carbon brakes for its fleet of forty eight A350-900/A350-1000 aircraft on firm orders.
