12:57 EDTUTX, ERJUTC Aerospace selected by Embraer to provide wheels, brakes for E-Jets
UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (UTX) has been selected by Embraer (ERJ) to be the sole source supplier of wheels and carbon brakes for Embraer's second generation E-Jet aircraft family. UTC Aerospace Systems will provide the equipment through its Wheels & Brakes business unit headquartered in Troy, Ohio. The new Second Generation E-Jets are expected to enter into service in 2018.

BOC Aviation awarded IAE International Aero Engines AG with an engine order for 13 firm A320 family aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled from May 2014 to December 2016. The new order brings the total number of V2500-powered aircraft ordered by BOC Aviation to more than 110. IAE is a multinational aero engine consortium whose shareholders are comprised of Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines International GmbH, Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines.

Spirit Airlines (SAVE) and IAE International Aero Engines AG have amended their existing V-Services Fleet Hour Agreement to include coverage for 86 incremental V2500 engines. Spirit's entire current and future fleet of A320 family aircraft powered by V2500 engines will be covered by an IAE V-Services aftermarket agreement. The deal is valued at approximately $700M. IAE is a multinational aero engine consortium whose shareholders are comprised of Pratt & Whitney (UTX), Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines International GmbH, Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines.
