Ultratech sell-off tied to concern over LSA tool, says Barrington Barrington attributes yesterday's sell-off in share of Ultratech to speculation that its Laser Spike Annealing tool might not be used at the 16/14nm node and that competing technology could gain significant market share. The firm believes Ultratech’s laser technology is superior to the alternative, but prefers to remain cautious on recommending the slide as a buying opportunity while it investigates further. Barrington has a Market Perform rating on Ultratech.
