The company said, “We are continuing to work toward our planned spin-off of FTD as an independent, publicly-traded company, and expect to complete this transaction by the end of the third quarter of 2013. We already have submitted our request for a private letter ruling from the Internal Revenue Service regarding the tax-free status of the spin-off. We also are continuing to explore strategic alternatives for our other businesses and monetization opportunities for our patent portfolio.” | |
