08:43 EDTUNH, KFTUnitedHealth to replace Kraft Foods in Dow Jones Industrial Average
S&P Dow Jones Indices announced that UnitedHealth (UNH) will replace Kraft Foods (KFT) in the Dow Jones Industrial Average after the close of trading on Friday, September 21. The change will be effective with the opening of trading on Monday, September 24, and was prompted by Kraft's plan to spin-off its North American grocery business, S&P Dow Jones said. Kraft will be renamed Mondelez, and the index committee believed the company's reduced market capitalization and projected lower percentage of revenue generated in the U.S. makes it less representative of the U.S. large-cap market.
