United Continental expects its Q3 consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile, or PRASM, to increase between 2.0% and 4.0% versus the third quarter of 2013. For Q3, the company estimates its consolidated system available seat miles, or ASMs, to increase between 0.2% and 1.2% compared to the same period in the prior year. For Q3, the company expects consolidated cost per ASM, or CASM, excluding profit sharing, fuel, third-party business expenses and special charges, to increase 1.0% to 2.0% year-over-year. The company expects to record approximately $70M of third-party business expense in the third quarter and approximately $550M for FY14. Corresponding third-party business revenue associated with third-party business activities is recorded in other revenue. As of June 30, the company ended its agreement to sell fuel to a third party, which will reduce other revenue and third-party business expense.
