07:57 EDTTAT&T discloses national security requests for thousands of accounts, WSJ reports
AT&T disclosed that it had received requests on national security grounds for information for at least 35,000 customer accounts in the first six months of last year, reports the Wall Street Journal. AT&T revealed information in its first report describing official requests for customer data. They also received between 2,000 and 2,999 government requests for information about its customers on national security grounds in 2013, seeking access to at least 4,000 customer accounts.
