Twitter (TWTR) is expected to introduce a new music strategy this week after pulling its Music app last week from Apple's (AAPL) iTunes store, the Wall Street Journal reports. According to a source, the company is ditching the idea of a separate app and could instead incorporate content in the service, possibly involving partnerships with music-streaming companies. Another source says Twitter this week met with Beats Music to propose a partnership. Reference Link

In a blog post Twitter said: "Direct Messages are the best way to take your public Twitter conversations private. Today, weíre changing how direct messaging works so that itís even easier for you to communicate one-to-one or with a chosen group of people, anywhere in the world." Changes include: A setting that allows you to receive Direct Messages from anyone, even if you donít follow them. Updated messaging rules so you can reply to anyone who sends you a Direct Message, regardless of whether or not that person follows you. Pacific Crest raised its Q2 EPS estimate for Apple to $2.17 from $2.15, putting it above the consensus estimate of $2.14.
