Tessera Technologies (TSRA) announced that its Tessera subsidiary has entered into an agreement settling all pending litigation with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). The specific financial terms of the agreement are confidential. Tessera, Inc. and AMD agreed to dismiss claims and counterclaims between the two parties relating to Tessera's patent infringement claims pending in the United States District Court, Northern District of California. The company is not providing additional financial guidance in connection with this agreement.

Samsung (SSNLF) is expected to start producing application processors for clients such as Apple (AAPL), Qualcomm (QCOM), and AMD (AMD) with its 14-nm process before the end of 2014, reports ZDNet. According to sources, Samsung already has a contract in place with Apple to produce A8's successor using the 14-nm process. Samsung is producing around 30% of Apple's A8 chips while TSMC (TSM) is producing 70%. Reference Link
