TSMC (TSM) is scheduled to build a 10nm pilot line at its 12-inch water plant in northern Taiwan in June, reports DigiTimes. Taiwan Manufacturing Semiconductor (TSM) plans to being testing production of 10-nanometer microprocessors in 12 factories by June, and hopes to sign production contracts by year's end, reports AppleInsider, citing unnamed sources quoted by UDN.com. The report notes that Apple (AAPL) is likely to pursue the 10NM chips, and sources quoted by G for Games said TSMC will be capable of handling the majority, if not all, of manufacturing responsibilities for Apple's rumored A10 chip.
