08:17 EDTTSLTrina Solar to supply 1MW to Mustakbal Clean Tech, Phoenix Solar
Trina Solar announced that it has recently reached an agreement to supply 1MW of Trina Honey photovoltaic modules to Mustakbal Clean Tech and the international photovoltaic system integrator Phoenix Solar for use in Jordan's biggest and first large-scale solar power project. The power project, owned by the Ma'an Development, will be built jointly by Phoenix Solar and Mustakbal. The electricity generated by the solar power project will cover 100% of the electricity needs of two student dormitory buildings in the Ma'an Development Area Residential Community in Ma'an. Upon completion, the 4,032 Trina solar modules will generate approximately 2K MWh of solar electricity annually, enough to mitigate 24K metric tonnes of CO2 per year. The modules will start to be shipped before the end of 2013, with the project expected to be completed in 2Q14.
