Tesla Motors has won a $15M tax break from the state of California, the L.A. Times reports. The California Governorís Office of Business and Economic Development voted to include the auto maker among more than 60 companies that will share in an almost $50M tax break package, the report says. Tesla said it will use the money to add over 4,000 new jobs to its Bay Area factories and plants, enough jobs to make it the largest manufacturing employer in the state of California, the L.A. Tamr announced that it has raised $25.2M in Series B financing from Hewlett Packard Ventures (HPQ); Thomson Reuters (TRI); MassMutual Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company and others. Current Tamr investors NEA and Google Ventures (GOOG) also participated in the round. Oppenheimer analyst Jason Helfstein raised his 12-18 month price target for shares of Netflix to $800 from $610. The streaming service closed yesterday up $3.30 to $663.20. The new target reflects the company's plans to enter Japan, Cuba, Spain, Italy and Portugal, all in 2015, the analyst tells investors this morning in a research note. Helfstein's revised model assumes global subscribers of 239M in 2020, equaling 32% penetration of broadband homes, which the analyst says is consistent with Netflix's 2015 rates in older markets. He reiterates an Outperform rating on the stock.

Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington has renewed her contract for four years, The New York Times reports. Huffington, whose contract had expired this year and had not signed a new one amid uncertainty surrounding the pending acquisition of Huffington Post parent AOL (AOL) by Verizon (VZ), will remain chairwoman, president and editor-in-chief of the publication. In a memo to staff members, Huffington commented that "After all my meetings and conversations with and the Verizon leadership, I am convinced that we will have both the editorial independence and the additional resources that will allow HuffPost to lead the global media platform shift to mobile and video." European Union antitrust regulators have sent copies of their charges against Google (GOOG) to critics of the company and given them a month to comment on the charges, Reuters reports, citing one of the complainants. Google has been accused by many companies of abusing its market power and cheating consumers and rivals by tweaking search results to favor its shopping service, the report says. 19 companies, including Microsoft (MSFT) and TripAdvisor (TRIP), are expected to receive the EU charge sheet, Reuters says.
