Matthew Keys, who is now the deputy social media editor for Reuters (TRI), is accused of previously helping hackers attack The Los Angeles Times, which is owned by Tribune, the parent of his former employer, reported Financial Times. The report noted that Thomson Reuters stated it was aware of the charges brought by the Department of Justice against Keys, and that any legal violations can result in disciplinary action, though added, "Keys joined Reuters in 2012, and while investigations continue we will have no further comment.” Reference Link

Thomson Reuters announced that it has received approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange for the annual renewal of its normal course issuer bid. Under the bid, up to 15M common shares may be repurchased between May 22 and May 21, 2014 in open market transactions on the TSX, the New York Stock Exchange, or other exchanges and alternative trading systems.
