07:49 EDTTMUnion vote at Toyota plants in Canada put on hold, WSJ reports
A vote on whether to join Canada's largest union, Unifor, by workers at two Toyota (TM) plants in Ontario was put on hold for the time being after the carmaker announced a higher number of employees at the plants than the union had estimated, reported The Wall Street Journal, who quoted Unifor president Jerry Dias as saying that the union will move to hold a vote in the near future after this "temporary glitch" is resolved.
