Toyota said it would recall 57,000 vehicles globally to replace potentially deadly air bags made by Takata, reports Reuters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration urged automakers to recall all U.S. vehicles with airbags made by Takata, according to The New York Times. The recall of of vehicles with the airbags has been limited to two states and two territories associated with high humidity, the newspaper stated. Japan's economy has slumped into a recession in the third quarter as a sales tax increase resulted in firms cutting inventory and capital investment, says the Wall Street Journal. According to the Wall Street Journal report, Japan's real GDP in Q3 retreated 1.6% on an annualized basis against a median forecast for a 2.25% expansion.
