11:18 EDTWMT, TMUST-Mobile, Univision partner on wireless service for Hispanic Americans
Univision Communications and T-Mobile US (TMUS) announced a partnership earlier to launch Univision Mobile, a wireless service created specifically for Hispanic Americans. The new service will launch May 19 exclusively at Walmart (WMT) and in dealer locations across the United States, including Puerto Rico. As the exclusive national retailer, Walmart will offer Univision Mobile in approximately 1,800 of its stores throughout the country.

Samsung Electronics America (SSNLF) announced the Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 edge will be available in the U.S. beginning April 10, with pre-orders starting March 27. In the U.S., the Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 edge will be available in Black Sapphire, White Pearl and Gold Platinum -- in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB2 memory options. AT&T (T), Sprint (S), T-Mobile (TMUS), U.S. Cellular (USM) and Verizon Wireless (VZ) will carry both the Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 edge, while Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless and MetroPCS will carry the Galaxy S 6. Samsung Experience Shops at Best Buy (BBY), as well as Amazon.com (AMZN), Costco Wholesale (COST), Samís Club (WMT), Target (TGT) and Walmart will also carry the Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 edge. Carriers and retailers will confirm specific pricing and availability.

A U.S. appeals court on April 8 will decide whether Wal-Mart shareholder Trinity church can force the company to hold a shareholder vote on gun sales, reports the Wall Street Journal. Wal-Mart maintains that what it chooses to sell in its stores is a matter of "regular business" and is not subject to shareholder review. Today, during an event held to announce Un-carrier 9.0 − Un-carrier for Business − T-Mobile (TMUS) unveiled two new major Un-carrier initiatives for consumers. First, with T-Mobileís new "Un-contract," customers will now have more certainty in their wireless pricing than ever before. Consumers and businesses with the Simple Choice rate plan will find that rates wonít go up as long as theyíre a T-Mobile customer and keep their plan − and even customers with unlimited 4G LTE will lock in their rates for a minimum of two years. The Un-carrier also launched "Carrier Freedom," a new move where T-Mobile will now cover all outstanding phone and tablet payments up to $650 per line when customers from AT&T (T), Verizon (VZ) or Sprint (S) switch to T-Mobile.

In a blog post Monday, T-Mobile Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Sherrard stated "This month, weíre taking Data Stash even further. Starting Sunday March 22, Data Stash will start rolling out to Simple Choice prepaid customers. Every single one of our prepaid voice customers with a qualifying Simple Choice plan will start out with a Starter Stash with up to 10 GB of 4G LTE data. And when thatís all used up, theyíll start rolling forward their unused data for use up to a full year. Automatically and at no extra charge...
