A report from Russia's Vedomosti daily newspaper said that the nation could increase retaliatory sanctions against Western countries to prohibit vehicle importation if the U.S. and EU enact new sanctions on Russia's capital, according to Reuters, citing the report. The European Automobile Manufacturers Association reported new passenger car registrations were up by 5.6% in July and by 2.1% in August.
