After the offices of the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association were raided by investigators from South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission, the head of the association is claiming the country's authorities are conducting a "witch hunt" by accusing foreign auto-makers of alleged price collusion, reported Financial Times. South Korean competition regulators are probing Volkswagen (VLKAY), Toyota Motor (TM), BMW (BAMXY) and Mercedes-Benz the report noted. Reference Link

Volkswagen's (VLKAY) premium brand Audi (AUDVF) said it plans to reduce spare-part costs in China as worldwide carmakers rush to amend their pricing goals after the National Development and Reform Commission in China started investigating the vehicle industry, according to Reuters, citing comments in an emailed statement from Audi. The NDRC is looking into the industry amid domestic media allegations that foreign car companies, using a monopolistic market position, are charging Chinese clients too much on products and extra parts.
