Toyota (TM) yesterday announced it will pay $1.2B to avoid criminal prosecution in a recall case, and Attorney General Eric Holder reportedly warned General Motors (GM) and other automakers that the deal was "not necessarily the only time we will use this approach," the Associated Press reports. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration urged automakers to recall all U.S. vehicles with airbags made by Takata, according to The New York Times. The recall of of vehicles with the airbags has been limited to two states and two territories associated with high humidity, the newspaper stated.
