05:43 EDTTGTTarget announces strong start to holiday season, last minute deals
Target shared that the strong start to its holiday season has continued through the first part of December, as the company continues to position itself as the place for unbeatable value for last-minute shoppers. Key areas include Electronics, Apparel and Accessories, Home, and Grocery, among others. Additionally, Target has seen a significant increase in online sales, outpacing reported industry growth rates. With the final shopping days approaching, Cartwheel users can take advantage of a one-day sale on Dec. 19 when nearly 40 great gifting items – from toys and apparel to cookware – will have special offers with discounts ranging from 10 to 60 percent off. Also, last minute online shoppers can still receive many of their gifts – in time for Christmas, by picking them up in store. Target.com’s new buy online, pickup in store service, which has seen strong demand this season, will be available for holiday shopping on Dec. 24. Finally, Target will host the Last Minute Sale in stores from Dec. 22-24 to help guests complete their holiday shopping lists.
