Teleflex has announced it has been awarded a new three-year agreement with Novation for its line of Weck Vista Access products. The agreement is effective April 1 through March 31, 2016. The Weck Vista Bladeless Laparoscopic Access Ports provide a broad range of sizes and include standard and optical ports that offer both smooth and ridged cannulas, balloon and cone open access ports, reusable obturators for cannula only options and insufflation needles. By offering a complete line of access products, Teleflex provides surgeons who perform minimally invasive procedures access to a broad range of tools that are designed to help increase visualization and stability during procedures.

11:55 EDTTFXTeleflex recalls 62,882 Hudson RCI Sheridan tubes
Teleflex is recalling 62,882 Hudson RCI Sheridan Sher-I-Bronch Endobronchial Tubes manufactured from October 2013 to April 2015, according to a notice posted on the FDA's website. Teleflex Medical has received customer complaints about the endobroncial tube's double swivel connector. The connector may break or separate on the tube. If this happens, the device may leak, causing the patient to not receive enough oxygen or experience respiratory distress. This can lead to the need to re-intubate the patient, patient injury or death. The recall is Class I and was initiated on June 1.

Teleflex Incorporated has been awarded a new Amerinet Choice agreement with Amerinet, a group purchasing organization, for a comprehensive range of surgical instruments. The agreement is effective August 1, 2015 through March 31, 2017.
