According to sources, Telefonica (TEF) has deferred preparations for an IPO of its Latin American businesses after a bond issue and a stake sale in its German unit relieved pressure, Bloomberg reports. Brazil's antitrust regulator has reached a preliminary merger deal with Telefonica (TEF) and Vivendi (VIVHY) that sees the companies agreeing to "adopt measures to effectively assure supply, quality and competitive prices for fixed-line telephone, broadband internet and pay-TV markets," reports Reuters, citing an official gazette.
