TASER announced several significant orders for more than 409 TASER Smart Weapon Platforms and 955 TASER X26 Conducted Electrical Weapons, or CEWs, along with various related equipment. Smart TASER CEW orders include Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety order for 210 TASER X26P CEWs, Richmond County Sheriff's Office order for 136 TASER X2 CEWs, Tulsa Police Department order for 33 X2s, and Garfield County Sheriff's Office order for 30 X2s. TASER X26 CEW orders include United Kingdom orders for 100 X26s, 16,000 TASER cartridges and 6,000 XDPMs, U.S. Army order for 500 X26s, Philadelphia Police Department, PA order for 225 X26s, and unnamed U.S. federal law enforcement agency order for 130 X26s and 24,720 TASER cartridges. These orders are expected to ship in the first half of 2013.

05:14 EDTTASRTASER announces tender for EVIDENCE.com, 500 AXON body-worn cameras for MPS
EVIDENCE.com, a business unit of TASER International, was selected for up to a 500 unit AXON body-worn video camera proof of concept pilot by the Mayor's Office of Policing and Crime, or MOPAC, for the Metropolitan Police Service, or MPS, through its UK distributor Tactical Safety Responses. The tender included both AXONbody cameras and EVIDENCE.com as the backend data management system as part of an evaluation being conducted by the MPS. The one-year pilot, which is set to roll out soon, is for the concept of body-worn video, or BWV, under the College of Policing academic rigour, and is the largest known urban pilot of BWV cameras. It will be rolled out across nine London boroughs and up to 500 AXON cameras will be deployed.
