14:31 EDTSSprint announces accounts receivables securitization agreement
Sprint announced that it and certain of its subsidiaries have entered into a facility agreement of up to $1.3B with The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., as administrative agent, based on the securitization of its wireless service accounts receivable. Other banks involved in the facility are The Bank of Nova Scotia, Mizuho Bank, LTD., and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. The new facility is expected to provide supplemental liquidity for general corporate purposes. The receivables are expected to be sold on a revolving basis throughout the term of the agreement beginning on May 16. The revolving period of the agreement is scheduled to end on May 16, 2016.

Speaking at an industry conference in Barcelona, Sundar Pichai, who oversees Google’s (GOOG) mobile operating system Android, said the search giant will launch a small scale U.S. wireless service with details to be unveiled in the months ahead, says the Wall Street Journal. Sprint announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of $1B aggregate principal amount of notes. Sprint intends to use the net proceeds for "general corporate purposes, which may include, among other things, working capital requirements, retirement or service requirements of outstanding debt and network expansion and modernization." The joint book-running managers for the offering are Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, .J.P. Morgan Securities, Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Credit Agricole, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Mitsubishi UFJ, Mizuho, RBC Capital, Scotia Capital and SMBC Nikko Securities.
