Sprint sued by U.S. officials for overbilling $21M for wiretap services, AP says U.S. officials filed a lawsuit federal court in San Francisco on Monday against Sprint subsidiary Sprint Communications, alleging the company overbilled government agencies $21M for wiretap services. The lawsuit claims the Sprint unit collected unallowable expenses from the FBI, U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and other government agencies while carrying out court-ordered wiretaps.
