Ultra-High-Definition, or UHD, TVs were on display at the Consumer Electronic Show, in Las Vegas. Sharp's (SHCAY) "8K" television displayed the crisp future of television viewing while makers of "Smart" TVs, like Samsung (SSNLF), and Lenovo (LNVGY), which created a television that runs on an Android operating system, and makers of set-top boxes, like Google (GOOG) and Netgear (NTGR), showed how the future of an Internet-connected TV is as confusing as the remotes that operate them, reports Barron's.
