Sharp's (SHCAY) "8K" television displayed the crisp future of television viewing while makers of "Smart" TVs, like Samsung (SSNLF), and Lenovo (LNVGY), which created a television that runs on an Android operating system, and makers of set-top boxes, like Google (GOOG) and Netgear (NTGR), showed how the future of an Internet-connected TV is as confusing as the remotes that operate them, reports Barron's.
