DRAMeXchange said that DRAM contract quotes rose 4.92% in the second half of July to $32, reports DigiTimes. The highest contract prices rose 6.45% to $33. RAM suppliers have begun to reserve portions of their already constrained DRAM capacity for mobile DRAM and this will likely enable price momentum to continue into Q3. Reference Link

Samsung plans to exit its laptop market, including Chromebooks, in Europe although it will not affect its computer business in other regions, reports PCAdvisor. In a statement obtained by PCAdvisor, a company spokesman said "We quickly adapt to market needs and demands. In Europe, we will be discontinuing sales of laptops including Chromebooks for now.
