Daiichi Sankyo will work with a government-backed fund to develop a cure for a common form of muscular dystrophy, according to a Nikkei report. The new firm will receive funding from the Innovation Network Corp. of Japan and is also expected to received funding from an investment fund managed by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial (MTU). Reference Link

Citigroup's (C)ís Diners Club card is among some of the firm's resources in Japan that is attracting attention from lenders as the company looks for offers for its retail division in the country, according to Bloomberg, citing people with knowledge of the matter. The sources said that Sumitomo Mitsui (SMFG), Mizuho Financial Group (MFG), Mitsubishi UFJ (MTU), Sumitomo Mitsui Trust and Shinsei Bank are some of the banks that are poised to propose preliminary offers. Nebraska Medical Center is not releasing the name of the experimental Ebola drug being given to Dr. Rick Sacra, The Street's Adam Feuerstein reports, citing an emailed response from the hospital. Traders are speculating Tekmira (TKMR) is the manufacturer of the drug, Feuerstein points out. Sarepta (SRPT) disclosed that it is not involved in the treatment of Sacra, added Feuerstein. Shares of Tekmira are up 3% to $19.65 in morning trading. Reference Link
