16:41 EDTSRESoCalGas to respond lawsuit through judicial process
In December 2015, the Los Angeles City Attorney and Los Angeles County Counsel filed a complaint on behalf of the People of California against Southern California Gas Company, or SoCalGas, related to the Aliso Canyon natural gas leak for public nuisance and violation of the California Unfair Competition Law. SoCalGas is working hard to both stop the leak and to address our neighbors' concerns. The company will respond to the lawsuit through the judicial process. Southern California Gas Co. is a regulated subsidiary of Sempra Energy (NYSE: SRE), a Fortune 500 energy services holding company based in San Diego.
