10:22 EDTSPY, SPXS&P 500 near its life high, levels to watch
The index has taken a backseat to earnings over the last several weeks, but with earnings season behind us for the most part it is regaining traders' attention. The week holds a number of important economic reports which could increase index volatility. With the current level at 1893.28, next resistance is at the life high at 1897.28. A move above that high would mean a test of 1900 would be highly probable. A breakout above 1900 could trigger buy stops. Support is at 1889.06, the high of last week.
